In the fall of 1984 a group of parents and professionals realizing the need for a program in Butler County came together and founded Special Families of Butler County.

We are a program of the United Methodist Church of Augusta, Kansas, and a part of the Parent to Parent Network of Kansas. Funding for our programs comes from Augusta and El Dorado United Way and local grants.

Special Families is a Parent to Parent support program assisting families of children with special needs in Butler County.
